Black and White Illustrations

This collection were produced on Adobe Illustrator, from the selection of photographs I had taken of architectural buildings, by using the pen and opacity of the image to create the line drawings.

Julian Opie Inspired Designs

This collection was produced on Adobe Illustrator by using the line drawings above and colouring in the shapes with the paint bucket to make them look like the original photos taken.

Michael Craig-Martin Inspired Designs

This collection was produced on both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator by using the paint bucket and eyedropper tool to select colours used in Michael Craig-Martins work. These colours are bright and vibrant to show a juxtaposing layer between colour.

Patrick Caulfield Inspired Designs

This collection was produced on Adobe Photoshop by using the illustrations above and colouring in the shapes with the paint bucket to make a colour range and have different tones involved in the colour. I also used blending and opacity when using a pattern in the images.

David Carson Inspired Designs

This collection was produced in Adobe Photoshop by using photos taken in Manchester and grunge textures to create a contest between layers, inspired by David Carson. We also developed these further by using text and space to really emphasise the words and images used.

Paula Scher Inspired Designs

This collection was produced on Adobe Photoshop by using the Lasso tool to cut out our architecture photos and then develop them with grains. I then made the typography inspired by Paula using grids and lining them around the buildings.

Molokid Inspired Designs

This collection was produced in Adobe Photoshop by using photos taken in Manchester and adding textures or collage pieces to create and effectt, inspired by Molokid. We also developed these further by using text and space to really emphasise the words and images used.
